The standardized tests such as the GMAT, GRE, SAT and ACT include a quantitative assessment section that tests your ability to engage in logical reasoning, using math concepts and basics that were learned during the final years of high school education. The commonly tested concept areas are the following: properties of numbers, factoring including prime factoring/multiples/concept of remainders, algebra including exponents, inequalities, and radicals, functions and crazy symbol representations, sets and probability, counting methods including permutation and combination, and geometry, including coordinate geometry. Because the GMAT and GRE test takers are typically at least 3 to 4 years removed from high school level math concepts, and because the degree of emphasis in the school systems vary, causing many SAT testtakers to receive inadequate coaching in math basics, MLIC designed the Remedial Math programs for the GMAT, GRE, and SAT to bring you up to speed from scratch in the critical math assessment areas so that you can hone your math competencies and confidence to deal with the math assessment sections of these standardized examinations.

The objective of the MLICETS Remedial Math prep course for the GMAT, GRE, and the new SAT is to impart Conceptual knowledge and understanding in the GMAT, GRE, and the SAT/ACT quantitative areas pertaining to Algebra (properties such as distribution, association, commutation; substitution, grouping, factoring, association, solving equations, exponents, radicals, inequalities, Functions), statistics including conditional probability, permutation, combination; Theory of numbers, word problems, geometry, and quantitative reasoning so that the GMAT or GRE math class participants will gain the understanding, skill, practice, competence and confidence required to do well in the Quantitative Assessment section of the GMAT, GRE, and SAT/ACT. The Remedial Math course for the GMAT, GRE, and SAT/ACT is designed to start from scratch in the skill and knowledge areas tested in the quantitative sections of the GMAT, GRE, and SAT, and reinforce the understanding of the quantitative concept areas through test-specific practice work and through in-class math-related assignments drawn from the math concepts regularly tested on the standardized tests. The Remedial Math Course for the GMAT, GRE, and SAT is backed by our industry-leading GMAT, GRE, and SAT test score guarantee of a scaled score of at least 40 in the Quantitative Assessment Section of the GMAT or a total Score of 650 on the GRE/SAT math section. In order to validate the GMAT, GRE, and SAT Math score guarantee, you will be required to complete pre-course assignment in math basics prior to GMAT, GRE, SAT math class attendance (Estimated burden: 35 hours), and attend all sessions of the GMAT/GRE remedial math prep class. (You must actively participate in the in-class tests and do the home assignments that will be assigned to you by your in-class instructor at the end of the training session on Day 1 and 2 (in non-U.S.A locations) or on Day 2 in all U.S.A remedial math training centers) You will also be required to complete post-Remedial-math class assignments that will be assigned to you by your remedial math class instructor. MLIC will also schedule post-class webinars and review sessions, and failure to attend the post-class webinars and reviews will be grounds for disqualification for score guarantee.

METHOD OF COACHING: MLIC prep courses rely on Socratic method of learning in which the instructor 'tells' and 'shows' the trainees how concepts and procedures are handled and then the trainees are required to demonstrate their understanding of concepts/procedures, and their competencies by being 'asked' to show the instructor and the rest of the group that they have acquired the required competencies.

Those who are rusty in quantitative assessment area of the GMAT, GRE, or the SAT/ACT either because it has been a long time since they dealt with Math or because they opted out of math in the high school or after the high school (not a valid excuse for the SAT/ACT test-takers), and those who lack the conceptual grounding required to do well in the Quantitative Assessment area of the GMAT, GRE, and SAT will find MLICETS Remedial Math intensive Course extremely valuable. A good conceptual understanding is an essential requirement for a good score on the standardized tests such as GMAT, GRE, and SAT, and the objective of the MLICETS Remedial Math Course is to provide and reinforce the conceptual framework for successfully dealing with the GMAT and GRE quantitative sections. All Business Schools will require a GMAT MATH scaled score of at least 40, and other Graduate degree programs a GRE quantitative Score of at least 650. The SAT test-takers should strive to get a score of at least 700 in order to be actively considered for admission to leading undergraduate institutions and for scholarships. The objective of the GMAT-GRE-SAT-Remedial-Math prep course is to meet and exceed this threshold requirement for Quantitative (Math) scores on the GMAT, SAT/ACT, and GRE tests.
